PLATE WITH SOLDIER LOOKING TO THE LEFT

This unique piece (together with a similar piece with the soldier looking to the right) are some of the  latest plates handcrafted by known artisan Robles, from Puente del Arzobispo, which has recently become retired.  His job shows deep traditional roots and reaches an exceptional beauty and artistic height.  Painted with some of the traditional colours in the zone, plus the yellow-orange very common in Robles, shows a rare complexity on the figure which also includes green and brown colours. It is the timeless image of a Castilian soldier from XVI and XVII centuries. Can be used as a table or wall decoration.
