JARRÓN (VASE) FROM CHULUCANAS This delicate jarrón (vase) comes from northern Peruvian city of Chulucanas, an artisan centre close to the regional capital Piura, which gives name to this kind of ceramics. It has been made on the traditional and very characteristic black and white of this area whose ancestors belong to the old Vicús culture, and is representative of the current Peruvian craftsmanship, deeply rooted in the tradition but looking forward to the new times.
